Why start it in the ask a question forum though?
Dave did post to answer an earlier inquiry about the raffles. He said that they were working on other things instead. But that the raffles would return.
You guys have to remember that with vendors, donating month after month, maybe for a few years, don't they deserve a break? How many times "can the group go to the same vendors again and again?" Oh sure, they line up a new vendor but even they get tired after a while.
For me, it wouldn't be the end of life as I know it to go without the raffle for a year. And look, now I think that there is a Facebook link. Dave said he was working on additional worthwhile projects. So patience is warranted. I realize that companies can maybe write this stuff off but maybe they would really appreciate the break. And there is only so much that a Dave can do. No disrespect to anyone but I think that we need to let Dave do his thing and if raffles return, they return. If not, we all go on.
In the meantime I wonder if anyone here has patronized any of our vendors since last year? What do you guys think? I know I have some new perennials from 2 of the vendors. Anyone else??
