I'm in zone 6b, McLean, VA (near DC) and the first bloom for me this year (as for many others) is on a gold seedling from Fred Benzinger's program which I've had for decades. This was also one of the first daylilies in my yard that reliably rebloomed every year. We've come such a long way.

As to my own seedlings, I'm seeing color on the buds of one that will bloom for the first time ... it will undoubtedly be light yellow ... a cross of Little Lemon Twist x Vanilla Stella. It's definitely time to get organized!!
