I have a stand of Harvest of Memories iris. Love their clear yellow look. I'm looking for an orange iris to add into the group. I have some Penny Lanes. They are a beautiful flower, but have a "muddy" look, IMO.

Anyone have a suggestion about what orange I should consider?

Our local Iris society will have their sale in a few weeks. I like to buy from them if possible so I'm trying to plan ahead.

Thanks for all suggestions.

I thought this one was pretty. I got it last year and it bloomed this year while still being potted up, so I don't know much about it's growth yet.

Orange Harvest or Leading Light. Or both. Big Grin

Leading Light. Next to Baby I Love You in the second photograph.

Orange Harvest. The only drawback is it dissolves in the rain, but, I'm in the Dallas area and this one is a reliable October/November rebloomer for me.

Charmed I'm Sure is a real show stopper with great branching. Did not bloom this year but was stunning last year.

I love it when I really like an iris and I find I already have it. *Blush* Viva Mexico hasn't bloomed for me yet though.

Apparently lots of pretty orange iris out there. Thank you all for suggestions.

I'm leaning toward Orange Splash, but will wait and talk to the locals at the iris club sale next month.

You might want to try "Crackling Cauldera." It got the Wister medal in 2010. It's a lovely combo of orange and yellow. Here are some photos of it from the database.
