I haven't seen these in our area for quite a few years, which makes me very sad.

But last week, I was watering pot with liriope and noticed a fan flower growing in the pot. I was doing a happy dance! I transplanted it into a 4" pot and is babying it...

I had a pot of them several years ago but never found a seed pod. Before it died during winter, I tried to do cuttings but they didn't take. Do yours set seeds somewhere? I know they must have seed pods... And do you take cuttings of them?

According to the web, they are from Australia, and they like it hot. They must not have sold well enough, so disappeared from the nursery. Burpee sells the seeds if you want to give them a try.
