I am in another group about pollinator yards, and along with no pesticides (of course) they also mandate no non-natives. I think this can be off-putting to someone that is just getting introduced to the whole concept. My first thought --you're asking to give up my tulips? I think that you can have both if you are aware of the importance of natives and keep adding more, mowing less, etc. Don't you think a worse problem is all the cities with concrete everywhere and all the lawn sprayed with pesticides? Just venting!
