I always have have liked Crocus sativus, (Saffron) though they don't always like me !
I know of a good place to buy seeds, of some unusual species, if interested. Just let me know & I may be able to find a source, for at least something that might interest you. Including little Gladiolus & other difficult to locate, varieties of Mediterranean, species., to start from seeds... Still time to sow them !
