Kept outdoors, so gets rain for 9 months. Prefer something flowering or something with nice shaped/coloured leaves. Also, something that grows fast .... not something that takes 2 years just to grow. Thanks!

Also, is there a website to look up things like this?

I'm thinking no one saw your question here, otherwise, someone would have answered. That, or your question is too vague.

There are plenty of websites. The trouble is, are you looking for a small tree, small shrub, a flowering plant, some thing native, something exotic... fact grow usually equals big and it sounds like you don't really have the space. google morning sun plant zone Seattle, and see what pops up.

I would suggest going to a nursery and walking around until you see something you like, then ask a salesperson what they know about it. These days, the plant tag has tons of information.

Mimosa trees grow fast with lovely blooms in July thru oct. Even dwarf fruit trees. Or try dwarf tri color maples., saucer magnolia, snowball trees, Chinese paper maples, dollar eucalyptus is my fav has beautiful blue green leaves grows really fast has no parasites or bugs and trimmings can be brought into the house in winter for long lasting dry floral displays and the stems also make great swags and wreaths.

Growing in pots on my patios in pt sun pt shade are evergreen star jasmine vines smell really nice and easy care. Grow moderately.Flowers may thru July.

Try google small trees then the pictures will help give you a better idea for what will fit your needs. Or call your local extension service, there are master gardeners to answer any questions.

Good luck.
