Thread OP
Glen allen, Virginia
I live in virginia and just purchased a cranberry crush hibiscus with two of the most beautiful flowers. A couple hours after getting it home and transplanting it into a larger pot with new soil, both of the bloomed flowers had wilted. There are two buds that are about to open that look healthy. Today it was 95 degrees and the plant was in full sun but very thoroughly watered after transplanting. Was the wilting due to the intense sunlight, temperature, transplantation, etc?
How much water do they need? Are these plants hardy? It is in a greenhouse and I plan to keep the greenhouse heated in the winter. Will it continue to bloom all winter? What temperature should it be at to bloom year round/what do i need to know to care for this plant?

They are hardy up here in zone 6 . Most hardy hibiscus flowers only last a day or two and the plants die down to the ground for the Winter , never heard of anyone I know growing them in a greenhouse all year round. Up here I only get one set of buds , but I remember someone from down South saying they would get a second set of blooms. They do like a lot of water.
