I was at Lowe's and bought the last white birds of paradise plant. It looked a little sad, and I suspect it has root rot. Here are some pictures, below. I'm a beginner and would appreciate some advice. Does this plant have any chance to live?

My reply may be too late, but White Birds require a very sunny indoor location and soil that stays moist by getting water whenever the surface of the soil feels dry.
