Playing "catch-up" again. To me these as well as all palms are exotic displays of "tropical landscape" magic. Since childhood in the frozen winters of the upper mid west I have been fascinated with them. Their beauty and unique appearance always gave me a sense of interest. I remember watching every TV show (back then) which featured tropical or sub-tropical places so I could see the scenic backgrounds. Everyone will not be able to remember some of the early shows like that; however they included "77 Sunset Strip", "Hawaiian Eye" and even "Gilligan's Island" to name a few. It is interesting how something so simple can revive our learning experience. (Sorry, I didn't intend to write a book.) D'Oh!
