Thread OP

Hello everyone,

thank you in advance for your help....

I'm looking for a tree recommendation to anchor the northeast corner of my property. I made the mistake of planting a Big Cis Plum 7 years ago.... pretty while it lasted. I'm looking for something, preferably multi-stemmed, with a decent clearance - that will not exceed 20 feet in width. My initial interest was in a Serviceberry varietal... but wasn't quite certain what one. I love the multi-season features... Thank you again for the help!

Hey - You're right about the multi-season interest with serviceberries. I have native ones here and look forward to their early season blooms (but not a lot of flowers this year after the nasty winter). They will get berries which birds, especially robins, go for. The native trees seem to be airier in structure. Can't tell you if they'll fit your dimensional requirements.
Only when the last tree has died and the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realize that we can't eat money. Cree proverb

Make sure you get one that is disease resistant.
