Hello vicbad, if those are still cuttings with no roots formed yet, those blooms are latent blooms of the previous season.

I have learned to cut the blooms, if I know it is still a cutting with no roots, so the cutting can instead focus its growth to new roots and leaves first.

I know the feeling vicbad. I felt the same before during my first attempts with Plumeria. I had similar case, I was hesitant to cut the flower so I let it bloom. It only managed one solo bloom, not making any leaves. When bloom finally fizzled out, I checked the soil level, no roots at all..that taught me a hard lesson. nodding
