I have a daylily that is dying out and has been stunning its not long lived
it is snufalufagus...picture below... when I bought local the lady said for her it never made but two fans..one of which I bought from her years ago.

I am looking for something with a large bloom that holds erect..
I love amethyst or grape colors with lime green throat and some watermark
or in the vivid rose color with watermark and lime green throat
that blooms a lot, hold up erect and retains color during the day at least
till noon...

any ideas..I can not afford 100.00...for a daylily..

Would love to buy something in sept next month or October
so that it will bloom in may and june..

I have not been selfish and I have given and given my flowers away over the years..

I hope that comes back to be a blessing to me in getting a new beautiful daylily that I just go awe at 7 am when I go out to take its picture
during bloom time!

I just stumbled across one that you might like,. It isn't as tall but very colorful: Not of this World

I personally love Amethyst Tears. A tiny bit taller, but started early and lasted for 6+ weeks. Was happy to great me every morning when I'd make my 6am morning rounds before work, and still beautiful at 8pm on my evening rounds!

This daylily doesn't quite fit your bill (a bit short) but you might want to consider it anyway. It's Lavender Blush. It does well for me although it has never rebloomed. But don't let that put you off since 99.99% of my rebloomers have never shown the trait. I expect it would rebloom for you since you have a much longer season.

If you are interested I have a few fans that I potted a couple of years ago to give away. I'd be happy to send it to you. Just send me a treemail if you are interested. Smiling

Sheri,

I think Rice's 'Rodinia' comes very close to what you're looking for. It's always one of the last to bloom, and my main plant still has a couple of buds left. It's very consistent and doesn't need pampering.

Purples can be difficult to photograph, but this photo is closest to what it looks like every morning, even in cooler weather.

I have a potted single fan division which bloomed this year, which I could share for postage. Treemail if you're interested.

I would recommend Crazy Miss Daisy because it is a southern bred DL, but the height is listed at 45". I can tell you that it might get to 30" or a little taller here, gets quite a bit of shade, so that may have limited the growth. It is in the color range that you like, don't know about price or who has it listed for sell.

Another southern bred DL--- Ada May Musick. It is listed as 34", but again not that tall here because of shade. It is an excellent daylily and it is very inexpensive. My pictures are from May 30, 2017.

I am afraid I don't have enough to share, but 'In High Regard' has been a wonderful daylily this year to photograph. Not sure if it meets your color requirements, but it is 46" tall (maybe too tall???) and the scape is nice and sturdy. I probably took about fifty pictures of it because each bloom on that one scape was near perfect!

I found a few places online that sell it, but they want:
$45 - https://www.thoroughbreddaylil...
$50 - https://muddypawsdaylilygarden...

This picture of 'In High Regard' is from 2018, and it got a little taller this year:

The next two pictures are from this past July. I still only got one scape, but it is now sending up a rebloom scape:

First bloomed on 7/13/19 and the last sometime in mid-August, so for me it is a late-bloomer.
