Beautiful banner Casey. I've not grown that particular zinnia before. Have you noticed the goldfinches eating the flower petals of your zinnias, yet? They do here and I'm happy to share my zinnias with them. Lovey dubby Thumbs up

We are a zinnia "family" and would never miss a summer without them in the gardens. Now that I know there is a "queeny" series we will be sure to look for some next year. They are tempting with that pink center and the creamy yellow petals which makes a very nice banner. Well done Casey. Thumbs up

Ah, thank you so much everyone!!

I purchased:

Queen Lime Blush from Floret Flowers:
https://shop.floretflowers.com...

Queen Lime with Blotch and Queen Lime Green from Swallowtail Gardens:
https://www.swallowtailgardens...

Queeny Red Lime and Queeny Orange Lime from Select Seeds:
https://www.selectseeds.com/Se...

They blend together so well and are massive flower producers. I bought a bunch of dahlias too, but really love the zinnias this year. Definitely recommend! Thumbs up

Here are most of the varieties I purchased. Have a few single chartreuse and a single "red" (actually pink) too.

And a special thank you to @dirtdorphins, @greene, @iciris, @JHeirloomSeeds, @krobra, @Marilyn, and @EscondidoCal for the acorns!!!

Dirt, Arlene, Marilyn, Leon - I just adore these, and hopefully you will too if you add them to your gardens. Quite a few vendors sell them now. I believe Red Lime came out first and always sold out before I had a chance to order. I am glad I waited. They really do look lovely together. Lovey dubby

This one is Queen Lime with Blotch. I've also seen it sold by another seller as Raspberry Limeade. (If it's not the same one it's really close!)

Marilyn - I haven't noticed the goldfinches eating them yet, but they have been dining on the verbena bonariensis which is planted throughout the bed. I was deadheading in the beginning to keep them flowering, but will start to backoff so I can collect seeds for next year. Smiling

Thank you Leslie, me too. Big Grin

Cal - here ya go!

@greenappleagnes Casey,

Thank you for posting the beautiful full size pic, the other beautiful pic (of 8 pics), the links and the variety names.

Goldfinches eat the dried cones of the coneflowers also, so if you grow those, leave them for them or at least some of them. Thumbs up

Cal, I planted Benary's Giant Lime and Green Envy for years without success, but these germinated and the plants are strong. I started the seeds indoors. All had great germination rates except one, though I can't recall which one. (Only 2 of 6 germinated.) The rest either all 6 or 5 of 6 germinated.

This was the first year ordering from Swallowtail. They do have some great varieties. I also ordered quite a few pansies from them and another vendor. First time attempting pansies from seed. Crossing Fingers!

Marilyn, your welcome! And thank you for the acorns!! I haven't been as good about deadheading the Echinacea, so there's is quite a buffet waiting for them! Or maybe they've found those already? Big Grin
