Do you fertilize newly planted daylily starts in the fall?

Would that be fertilizing plants in fall that were planted earlier or fertilizing at the same time as planting in fall? Here I avoid planting in fall but there should not be any harm in fertilizing already established plants. I don't fertilize at planting time whenever, because then there's some risk of further reducing water availability while the plants are trying to survive the transplanting.

Paul in addition to compost when planting, I use a small amount of Alfalfa Meal and Milorganite in the fall. I also use Mycorrhizal products on select plants as I see fit.
