Thread OP

Hi I have an aglaonema that I can't figure out the species or varietal, as seen in the pics, it has leaves like Siam, but not the edging that Siam has, and defiantly not the color type.
I also have what I think is first diamond which had broader leaves at the base, where this one has more spear shape like Siam.
Anybody know what this is.
I texted to find the leaf shape on the web, but to no avail, it looks like regular ag, but with narrower Siam shaped leaves.
Thanks Ken

Hi, thanks for the quick reply.
What are the differences between Osaka and first diamond?
I agree with you on the color form of pink Dalmatian, but what about the differences in leaf shape, does leaf shape play a role in the I'd?

I don't think it is Pink Dalmation, I believe it is Aglaonema Anyamanee. I have both and Dalmation stays spotted pink.

Anyamanee (Aglaonema 'Dud Unyamanee')

So to be clear, it's not pink Dalmatian, but unyamanee?

Yes pretty sure of that. It is one of my most hardy of the Aglaonema.

Well my plant does stay spotted pink, the photo shows the underside of some of the leaves, is that why you think the pink isn't staying
I really value your opinion.
How do you tell the difference ?

Mine had tags on them Big Grin

Here's a more recent pic of my A. Pink Dalmation

And my A. Anyamanee or Unyamanee

They're pretty close looking. There are so many different varieties out there, it may not even be either of these. Shrug!

Thank you sherry, by tags, you mean saying what varietal they Are?
I see the difference in the two, your pink Dalmatian seems to have a uniform consistent color of pink, where the unyamanee has different shades of pink.
Is that what you mean?
I hope you don't mind all the questions, I'm trying to learn as much as I can about them.
If you answer these questions, then I only have one more I'd for you to take a look at.
Then I will stop taking up all your valuable time, but you and lin are really helping me a lot.
3 of my 4 ags came from Lowe's with no tags, just that they were ag,s.

Yes the plant came with a tag on it, that's how I know the variety it is. I don't mind the questions, but I'm by no means an expert on aglaonema plants.
