Does anyone keep a record of the first flower open dates of the daylily cultivars that they grow and you have at least five, ten or more years of information? I am interested in trying to use the information to check the effect of temperature on FFO.

Sorry, I don't keep very good records despite my sincere efforts. I looked back thinking I would have that info for maybe five years on some, but found not a single plant with it recorded for more than three, and not a lot of those.

Surely someone got excited at seeing the FFO and caught it with their cell phone. They would have the file info. People have been posting their pics on here for years. Thumbs up
I are sooooo smart!

I have FFO data which goes back to 2010 for whatever cultivars I had then at both my current locations. It's on separate Excel spreadsheets so it would take some time to compile or I can edit it down with less time to cultivars and you could compile it. Send me a tree mail if you're interested.

It looks like I have records going back to 2014. But many of those cultivars have died. Would you only want ones with a full 5 years of data?

Second, I'm not sure how you are going to get the temps. If you just look at the official temp for NYC that is taken in Central Park. My temps are often plus/minus 5 degrees (further north, less concrete). You'd have to get temps specifically for my borough.

There's more in the notebook and sdlg/now registered records, just time consuming gathering each cv FFO with the year. My notebooks go by year, date and a list of cv's/sdlg numbers FFO for each day. I've always meant to find time during the winter to add them all to an excel sheet.....maybe this will be the year.

Yes, I would need data on cultivars for at least five years.
The NOAA apparently has past climate data for 269 stations for New York "city"; I am hopeful that at least one of those is reasonably close to you.

Okay, I'm compiling the info but I won't have it ready until next week. I'm not sure how many cultivars will have 5 years since many don't bloom every year.

I used to like the site that is now Weather Underground, before it changed you could find the HDD and GDD numbers easily. I'm not sure where the NOAA stations are near me.
I'm in East Thetford, Thetford Center is roughly a mile over the hill. largest towns nearby would be Hanover NH, Lebanon NH, White River Junction VT . All are typically 5 degrees warmer than we are. If there is a Woodstock VT they tend to be about the same as us.
