Kousa Dogwood

These look like fire in the garden. The colors are especially beautiful this year.

Oh my that is beautiful Casey!

I was trying for something just like that -- in somekinda misguided effort, I tried to grow a dogwood here; it struggled and died Sighing!

Thank you so much @dirtdorphins, @crawgarden, @IrisLilli, @GaNinFl, @EscondidoCal, @krobra, @lovemyhouse, @tx_flower_child, and @vic for the comments, thumbs ups, and the acorns!!

Dirt, I would have thought dogwoods would do well for you. Did you try the Cornus florida or the Kousa? Wonder if one may do better in your area than the other. (Though you do have that beautiful Mt. Fuji cherry I so adore. Lovey dubby )

Thanks, the cherry is nice.
It was a Kousa. Pitiful really, I hate torturing plants, but I sure have done it quite a bit. Now, I mostly just stick to stuff that can tolerate this alkaline, high desert. I haven't resorted to sagebrush and rabbitbrush yet...saving them as a last resort Hilarious!
