What's chuffed?

Lynn, it's when you are stuffed with joy over a certain event... I unloaded a truckload of new garden soil yesterday and I'm chuffed! A little sore too though .

Now I can make a mix and get my Kevin seedlings planted too!

I spent several years of my youth in Australia and they use a lot of the same slang as the brits and I tend to lapse back at times. You will know when I am really upset because I will be slinging bloody all over the place. And I do get gobsmacked now and then. But it takes quite a bit.

A suggestion for a community college class: Learn British Slang as a Second Language. All class time is spent watching British comedy reruns on PBS.

Just reporting in that i harvested my first ripe seed heads yesterday from the greenhouse and I did manage to catch them just as bottom capsule was beginning to open. The gold baby is being very slow but it is not in the green house. It's actually in my house right now as it is either raining or trying to here and I do not think I need wet seed.

Connie, two of my favorite British comedies are Coupling and Keeping Up Appearances. I have all seasons of both on DVD. And I watch them regularly. And they never fail to crack me up.
