My question is...I grow the blue /black perennial salvia really well
in morning sun and some aft shade in my flower garden.
I also can grow Blue Ensign salvia well.
Both take the high humidity here and high heat and like to be watered
deeply once a week.

Which ones do well in 3/4 sun with aft shade no west sun

and grow well in high humidity and heat...
in zone 8..south east alabama… It has been 92- 99 many days this summer

would love something like Wendys wish..salvia

but that died here when it dropped to 20 degrees a few nights ...rare to drop that low but it does happen once a year...

Thanks
Sheri
and always high humidity here.

Sherri,

I mainly grow salvias and other plants in containers here.

The salvia coccinea varieties do well for me. I make sure they get a deep watering and make sure they don't dry out.

Have you grow Amistad before? I make sure it gets a deep watering and make sure it doesn't dry out. A great salvia to grow.

It's too late here to think about other plants.....

Hummingbirds are beautiful flying jewels in the garden!
