I am already budgeting, plotting, and planning the beds for my iris orders next year. I'm going to spend all winter generating my wish list. Hopefully I won't lose many over the winter because replacing them will only mess up my budget for new babies! lol. So when do the sellers open up their websites for the year's season? I'm new at this and I want to be prepared Whistling

Cindy, some open in December (think both Blue J and Iris Sisters did this year) and some open late April/May (Breezeway opened May 1, which was two weeks later than he opened the year before), with others all in between (example is Sutton's, which opened on January 22). If you have certain sellers you are considering, email and ask. Any of them will be happy to give you an idea. Smiling

Stout's is December. I am in denial about ordering more as I am still planting this year's!

Hilarious! Mid-America usually opens early too - that is if Thomas has any irises left after that monster sale? Big Grin

I still have about 120 to plant from this year, but 40 or so of those are smaller historics from 1920 and earlier - the more people post pics the longer my wish list for the future gets!

Cindy ~ My pot ghetto has expanded this year after I was being so good to plant everything last year except for the "too small" ones and the noids.

I will have to make some adjustments this season since I have fractured my ankle. I just hope DH keeps up with the watering until the weather turns cool. I would hate to lose those seedlings and new irises in their pots.
