Thread OP

Good evening. I have been working to propogate my colocasia gigantea. I have had good success this season and now have some really nice seedlings. The parent plant has four-five foot leaves.

Two images are uploaded. The image with my hand on the leaf is my own, from the plant. The second image is a University image, which I felt helps give a better perspective on the flowers, as my own is currently without.

In any case the parent plant produces around 9-12 leaves and is around 12' x 10' in scale. Maybe a but larger when not as confined.

I find this particular cultivar can handle full sun, but truly likes a 6 hour schedule when possible. They do great in afternoon or later morning to evening sun. I have colocasia giantea in all areas of my landscape and on all sides of our home now in nearly all sun and light settings.

I would be glad to sell or trade them. Trade preferred, I am not looking to make money on them, but prefer to enhance and increase our landscape. I have around four acres in a city setting. Bananas, colocasias, alocasias, bamboos, cannas, succulents, agaves, sage, philodendrons, tibouchinas, ferns, birds of paradise, and many more. There is not many plants we do not like. I am zone 9. Barely touching freezing one or two nights a year. I have many many of these, I am planting more seedlings now so I can help facilitate as many as a person has in mind. I probably have around 1000 seeds, running around 80% germination when I sow them. We have been fortunate to have the temp, moisture, and soil medium dialed in for them.

Feel free to consider and offer any trade. If for kids, church, or schools I am happy to ship for freight.

I can easily ship usps. Thats my best option here.

Hello,
I realize I'm a bit late but just now getting back into the swing of plant hunting.
do you have any alocasia or colocasia available? i would be interested in purchasing the bulbs or plants as I have nothing to trade except hand made crosses made of barnwood and wreaths made from grapevine. i have pine cones shaped like flowers on them either painted or natural. Great gifts or for yourself!!
Here is a picture of a wreath with painted pine cones, I can get about six different flower shapes when the pine cones are cut.
I am also looking for some umbrella palms and water lettuce for mhy koi pond too.

please let me know, thank you lisa
