This time of year and again in spring I feel like I need a conveyor belt. Weather guessers said high 40s last night...too soon to move all the kids into the GH as the temps are still fine in the day and will be up again at night. Grrrr what's a mom to do especially when so much was lost to hurricane Michael...move in, move out...in out until they get to stay in for the winter.🤔🤔

A friend used to buy up old rusty children's wagons at yard sale and attach something like a piece of plywood or a pallet on top to make the surface area larger. She would sit the pots on the pallet and roll the wagons into the garage at night and out again in the morning. It was crazy.

Grrrr now they say 39 here tonight. Moved plants in yesterday and that's where they are going to stay until spring. I'm getting too old for in and out

Brrrr, it is forecast to be 55 here Sunday night/Monday morning but then it pops back up to the high 60's at night.

Yeah we're gonna pop back up too. I don't usually fill the GH until about mid Nov but so much was lost to hurricane Michael that it's not worth taking a chance. Hopefully things won't get too hot when the temps go back up. Guess I should think about wrapping hose bibs too.

Really, I never did that until it got down into the mid 20's. We did keep the cabinet doors open under any sinks that faced an outside wall so the room air would keep the pipes at a decent temperature.

Not a big deal to do really...being a widow with no help to speak of I'd rather err on the side of caution

We have never had a home built on a slab before, maybe it is something we will have to consider here.
