So my wish list is
Hoyas mostly, (obivata? Almost completely round leaves, a kantian very long skinny leaves, or even a kerri... but alas if I dont find any I'm looking for tiny dancer alocasia, maybe a philodendron variety that is very dark colored or pink... a few succulents like string of turtles or burrows tail. Some of the plants I had years ago... Of course, I will probably come home with none of those things but a completely unexpected group...
Anybody looking for anything in particular? I will post what I find here and where it is.

I am always looking for rare anthuriums and rare philodendrons and rare alocasias cheap LOL. I never find them either.
You might actually be able to locate the alocasia in an independent nursery (not a box store). You can probably find a Philodendron with red/orange leaves as well. The succulents are common at Lowes and Home Depot.
Hoyas? No idea.

Some of the mosst unusual plant material I have found is from the gift shops or festivals at the botanical gardens. This list of places is from the FLorida forum. The thread "List of Florida Arboretums and Botanical Gardens" in Florida Gardening forum

I forgot to add, Tropiflora's Fall festival starts today and runs through Sunday. They have many different vendors offering everything under the sun. If you are near Sarasota it is worth a trip.

Lipstick vine also Lukas

They had couple more hoyas, but I have them already. And a pitiful pilea (money plant) I decided to wait for a healthier one.

Our ACE's would blow you away. Next time you plan a trip east let me know and I will give you some addresses. Right now they are transitioning from summer into Christmas and I always find greenhouses full of poinsettias boring. Not that I do not like poinsettias, I just miss the more interesting stuff.

I would pass by your area if I went up north on my way there or back. Unless I was visiting st Augustine...

I have also found interesting plants at my nearby ACE in their outdoor nursery.
Poinsettia season is upon us. 😱 I spotted these in Publix today.

I go to Hagan ACE on Rt. 13 in Julington Creek and Turner ACE off A1A in Ponte Vedra Beach. There is a Turner ACE in St. Augustine also but I have not been there. Southern Gardens and Leonardi's on A1A in St. Augustine Beach often have interesting stuff.
