The colors are perfect for the last day of October. And they also make a great banner for Halloween! Trick or Treat? I say a real treat! Nicely done Casey! Thumbs up

What pretty zinnies, Casey! Thumbs up

After your Queeny Zinnia banner Aug 14, The thread "Banner for August 14, 2019 by greenappleagnes" in Site Banners forum
I bought several Queenys from Swallowtail Garden
https://www.swallowtailgardens...

I started some in peat pots with Jiffy Seed Starter, and others in the ground.
Those started in peat pots did best. I planted them in the ground when ~5" tall, in amended soil, good sun,
water, but they haven't "taken off" yet. Some do well, some just seem to give up. :crying:

What's your secret??? Confused

More green flowers! Hurray!

Thank you all for the thumbs, acorn and encouraging comments!!

@TBGDN, I think they're a treat too! They currently look a little worn, but I'm not ready to say goodbye yet though Mother Nature may make that decision for me in a few days. Glare

@EscondidoCal, I've struggled with zinnias in the past but had more success with the Queeny series. I started these inside and it definitely helped. A few didn't make the move to the garden, but those that did did well. If I recall, it did take them a bit to settle in before they started flourishing. Hope this helps!

Thanks, Casey!
The best luck I've had with zinnias is when they are in a 2~5 gal pot. Maybe their roots need some
crowding (?).

The petals on yours are more prominent than the center, while mine are the reverse. Rolling my eyes.
They're pretty, but not as pretty as yours, imho.
You've got the touch. Thumbs up
