These flowers are not a match for the species E. gibbiflora. I realize they were placed on Wikipedia as such, and those images came from the Botanical Garden KIT, Karlsruhe, Germany. But somebody appears to have mislabeled the plants there. The inflorescence of E. gibbiflora is a massive thing, sometimes over a meter tall, usually with many branches. Its flowers are a uniform glaucous pink color (red underneath, but heavily dusted with powder). Based on the image above and other images by the same photographer on Wikipedia, this inflorescence is much shorter, much less branched, without much powder on the petals, and with yellow tipped petals.

I do not know what to call the plant in question, but it does not appear to match E. gibbiflora, so I would like to propose moving this image (and the following two by @SongofJoy from the same source) to the generic entry for Echeveria.

Please let me know what you think.

Thank You!

Rob's actually always here, doing admin stuff behind the scenes. He just doesn't post much in the forums. He never objects to having his photos moved, so I'm sure you can go ahead without an okay from him.

Okay. I will continue to wait for @SongofJoy to respond about the other two pictures and then take action if there is none.

Yes...I am here most every day, actually. At any rate, @Baja_Costero, you should feel free to move the photo I uploaded. As always, in the world of cacti and succulents, I trust your keen eye and judgement.
