Thread OP
Victoria, BC (Zone 9a)
I just finished hanging my winter baskets. I found these at the dollar store this summer. I have been waiting months to use them. I think they work nice for winter.

I was not planning on using yellow in a winter basket, but when I saw those butter coloured violas at the growers, I had to have them. I plan on adding some festive cheer adornments in December. I just need to make a few changes to my plans to make them work.

The basket has in it;
Asplenium scolopendrium - Hart's Tongue Fern (Cristatum Group)
Small Hellebores mix of 'Blue Lady' & 'Pink Spotted Lady'
Vinca minor - Periwinkle, some blue & white (These will go in the garbage in spring, because they are locally invasive)
Selaginella kraussiana - Frosty Fern Club Moss
Cyclamen - Large Flower Cyclamen (Some years they survive our winters, others they do not.)
Violas - Lemon Ice Blotch & Marina Improved
