Hello all,
So I have a space that is mainly boulders and I would like to plant flowers there. I was thinking of succulents but I am not sure.
I don't want to create a hideout for snakes( as an example). Any plants repelling snakes?
Thank You!

I think your idea of a succulent rock garden is wonderful. Snakes will come & go and I like that they are in my garden, but mine are non-poisonous. Don't know of any repellent plants.

Agree with Kathy... Snakes are a normal part of any landscape... They eat rats and mice... I'm not a fan of those.

Knowing your location would be really helpful in suggesting plants but a lot of nurseries have a selection of rock garden plants available.

I would look at your local native plant society website. Often they will have planting plans. If you plant your boulders with natives it would look quite natural. I love rocks. Post before and after shots of your garden, we all love photos.

Thank you all. I decided on succulents and it looks good.
I have also used Vygie ground cover.
