I remember this old thread! Smiling I was still a lurker back then, but already becoming a Hazelcrestmikeb fan.

And I have 11 of these season extenders some of which I bought from Henry. I just want to point out that a lot of VL plants are Dips, but there are quite a few Tets on Henry's list. So maybe I'll mention my VL Tets:

Mary Kathryn Benzinger (Benzinger) More of a late than a VL, but won't it look nice crossed wtih Lavender Fairy Tails?

Nice, Tim! I love the color on Flamboyant Promise.

My latest blooming daylily is Curt Hanson's 'Chew Mailpouch Tobacco'. I've extolled its virtues a few times over the past few weeks and when this thread popped up, I thought I would mention it one more time.

Chew Mailpouch Tobacco bloomed from June 25th until October 15th this year with one bud that bit the dust after a few freezing nights. The long and late bloom period is all due to its bud-building capability.

This 5-way branched scape (two branches are a few feet down the scape) produced over 50 blooms. This picture was taken on October 12th.

At six feet tall, it looks very statuesque and I am anxious for it to become a large clump.

Vickie I have some CMT seeds that I will be planting this winter. Love the bud building on it. Like Frank, I love the tall ones too.

It will be interesting to see what you get. What was the cross?

Even though it will be a year or two before seeing the blooms, I am very interested to see how these do! I should have done some crosses myself this year with CMT but didn't. I made some crosses with others that I am planting next spring.

I agree with Vickie, It is going to be interesting to see what you get from those crosses, Mike. I'm imagining a 70 inch tall plant with the nice curls and quilling on the blooms that you may get from I Lava You. I hope you get a winner.

Also, Vickie, thanks for the kind words on Flamboyant Promise. It is a lovely color. I don't think orange is very popular, but I like it, especially if I can get it to bloom in late summer/early fall. Another good late Tet for that is Sunny Intervals. It's just not as late as the rest of the list above.
