Banana plants.com has it, so does Logees. But I would call Jene's Tropicals and Going Bananas down there by you and see if you could;t get it in person

Going Bananas is in Homestead and they do have Balbisiana which may be the same thing - or close. They do ship and they are a nice company to deal with.

You can also check ebay... it can almost always be found there in various sizes... i have grown it before... nice plant... great taste and texture... but not like ice cream... definitely worth having. If you like unique bananas... look for Hua Moa... roundish (oval) and they bake up just like an apple... when i lived in Mexico i had a garden with 20 different bananas and they were probably my favorite.

no... that's a different one. Hua Moa is even more rounded in form

OH I see. I have a Praying Hands. I've had it for probably 10 years. It has never bloomed for me but it keeps getting taller and taller. I got it at the Fairchild Gardens Ramble in Miami one year when I think it was Going Bananas was a vendor there.
