hard to tell at this stage

but it looks a lot like a leaf bud ....
sometimes, but not always ... adeniums in a semi-dormant state (or phase) will develop leaf buds that are "curled" - and that's what I think we see here

once emerged, the leaf margins will be "wavy" and distorted ....later, these wavy shaped leaves will fall off

in the case with adeniums....the cause is from not watering - or too little water - but that is actually good - and signifies the plant is in a drought or dry period -

just what we want during the winter months ...nice and dry

despite what the plant is saying......I would not water ....

I think this is a bud forming? Maybe several?

Thank you! Excitement! It had a bloom on it when I got it about 6 weeks ago and I thought it would not bloom again until next year. I'm new to this kind of plant.

In our climate, we can enjoy 2 to 3 blooms per year.
Just need to protect the flower buds from rain/water. The flower buds will have higher chance to turn brown and fall off when exposed to water
If they look healthy, do nothing

Hurray! Tifanny! That's how my addiction started! It keeps reblooming. I am used to my orchids and plumerias that give blooms for a few weeks then poof! You have to wait for another year!

Yes, Adenium is quite fun to keep, they do not occupy too much space, easy to bloom with beautiful flowers, and don't forget that we can enjoy a beautiful caudex / root train them

Yes, their caudex are beautiful! I have a few that had to be amputated or got amputated accidentally, and then next year they will be candidate for root training.

It was all cute when I posted it. It bloomed three times since....
Soo...thats how a bud should look like-like a spontaneous growth spurt forming in spring. Not always but usually.

I think it is specially true for the seedling grown. It takes a few blooming cycle before the blooms would stabilize.
