I have been making quilts for a few years now and naturally have always gravitated toward collecting garden and flower related prints. I can only keep so many quilts for myself 😛 so I am offering these three. #3**SOLD** Stacked Brick, made with a combination of light and dark prints, mostly florals but a few fun 'I spy' surprises as well; birds, deer, text, even a sweet kitty print. They are just lovely, Sue. My granny made quilts, some 50 or more over the years. I remember them folded and stacked in the corner of her bedroom. When we visited (which was rare, as Dad was USAF and we were all over the country), Mom and I would pull them all out, unfold and admire them. My grandfather built her a wall-mounted quilting rack (they lived in a wooden-walled farmhouse) she could sit at to work. She did state birds, state flowers and nearly all the popular old patterns. I was supposed to get one of them when she passed, but never did. Grandma would give them away as gifts for weddings and such. Guess the N.C. relatives snatched them all up at her death for themselves, or sold them off. The irony of the story is that most of them had scraps of all the dresses mys mother made me when I was growing up. Mom would mail her a box of fabric remnants every summer for quilting.

@Peggy8b I hear that often, the sweet memories of a quilt maker in the family, thank you for sharing.
I have a lovely collection of vintage cottons that I have picked up here and there and I plan to make a quilt with them eventually.

You're far ahead of me. I started in 2010 and I don't think I've made that many. But I sure enjoy them! You definitely have an eye for combining fabric.

Quilting is something I have been interested in for a while, but I'm not sure if my arthritis (hands and wrists) would allow.

There used to be a quilting group at Daves, it was alot of fun but it did not transfer to NGA. Your quilts are fantastic. Your eye for color what Im missing. Thats alot of squaring up.
