I planted a number of Ajuga 'Burgundy Glow' plants on the side of our house earlier this year and in between a couple of them, these "sprouts" appeared.

I don't know the way Ajuga spreads, but I can only assume these came from a neighboring plant somehow (a couple were blooming when I bought them... maybe they're seedlings? Thinking ).

Anywho, they've gotten bigger since I took this picture (I can take another tomorrow if needed) and I'm noticing they have no white on the leaves. Is it common for them to lose variegation when they reproduce (via seedlings or however these came to be)?

This variety does not come true from seed.

Thank You! I tip my hat to you. That probably explains it then. They're so darn cute, I'm quite alright with the lack of variegation, I was just curious.
