Thread OP

Would anybody be willing to trade or sell me a cutting of a wide leaf monstera adansonii? It's been pretty hard to find any at my local stores and the ones that I do come across is way beyond my med school student budget haha

I'm new at this so my collection isn't very impressive. As for my starters, I will pay forward once the plant gets big enough to get cuttings. Here's what I have to trade

Monstera deliciosa
rhaphidophora tetrasperma (starter)
Watermelon peporomia (starter)
Oxalis Francis (starter)
Trinidad scorpion pepper (starter)
Rat's tail
Arum italicum
Spider plant
Golden pothos
Manjula pothos
Marble queen pothos
Peace Lily
Air plant
White vein fittonia
Moon valley plant (pilea involucrata)
Dwarf palm
Ctenanthe
Iris
Mother of thousands
Coleus variegated

Hi Pepo, I don't know of a specific "Wide Leaf" Swiss Cheese Philodendron (Monstera adansonii) but the leaves of M. adansonii do grow larger and wider as they mature and climb.

You don't say where you live, are you in the U.S.A.? Some states have restrictions on plant material coming from other areas. Winter isn't the best time of year for sending plant material through the mail, it's best to wait until spring when the weather is warmer, to ensure the health and survival of the plant.

Yes there are a lot of normal variants of plain old M. adansonii. I have 3 myself. This isn't trading weather, even in some parts of FL right now. Too risky to be mailing this time of year, and sending plants out of state from FL is pretty much verboten unless you have a valid nursery license. I know, I know, people do it all the time...but interstate trades are always best
