Cedar Waxwings hanging out in one of my trees. They don't appear every year, but when they do it takes my breath away.

Wishing everyone a New Year filled with joy and laughter, and a garden filled with color and song!

A very nice banner Casey; Cedar Waxwings visit here occasionally in groups. I have not noticed them nesting, but they do visit for the berries and other small fruiting trees in my gardens. They make a nice group photo in this banner which is very pleasing and well done! Gardens are incomplete without, birds, butterflies and bees. Wishing everyone a wonderful new year!

Wonderful banner Casey! Masquerade ball birds. I just love them. I get 6 - 10 here every year for a few months. Hoping the number increases.

Wow! Thank you so much everyone!!!

To Fleur, Bob, Leon, Ginny, Ann, Dirt, Marilyn, Barbara, Valerie, Christine, Stan, and Leslie for taking the time to leave such thoughtful comments and sharing your stories - and for the New Year wishes! Hope everyone is enjoying the first day of 2020!

To Bumplbea, Marilyn/CDsSister, Tina, Danita, Dirt, Cal, Ann, Fleur, Stan, Nora, Barbara, Joanna, jmorth, Kurt, Ginny, Debra, Leslie, Marilyn/Marilyn, ursula, Connie, Karen, Larry, slowcala, Leon, Tara, Valerie, Vicki, Christine, William, and zuzu for the thumbs!

And a special thank you to Dirt, Fleur, Frenchy, Marilyn, Connie, Larry, slowcala, Leon, and Vicki for the acorns!!! I tip my hat to you.

They only spend a day in my yard, maybe two if I'm lucky. The first time I saw them they covered my neighbor's tree and devoured all the berries. The whole tree looked as though it were shaking. I wondered if they were Cedar Waxwings and ran inside and grabbed my camera to confirm. I would love it if they nested in the area but based on a little research they prefer to call the NC mountains home. I'll take any visit from them. Lovey dubby
