In case you haven't seen any of the new Schreiner online catalog here is a snippet that will affect lots of you:

"We are excited and pleased to announce that starting in 2020, Schreiner's Gardens will be the introducer of Ghio bearded iris creations. Bay View Gardens will become iris archive history."

Leslie, (or anyone) do you know if Schreiner's will sell Ghio's past introductions?

A bonus about Schreiner's selling Ghio Iris is that they ship overseas. Hurray!

Barbara, they didn't mention anything except the new intros. Probably because most of their site isn't really open yet. They have carried many of his in the past. No idea if they will increase those offerings though.

Thank You! Leslie. I was hoping to buy some 2017 and 2018 intros.

If you do a search for 'Ghio' on their site, you can see what they might have on offer, even though the 2020 catalogue is not finished yet.
Of course I talk to myself; sometimes I need expert advice!

I can answer that question: Schreiner's won't be listing any more of my former introductions then they have in the past. They will exclusively be listing and selling my 2020 bearded introductions and onward. I will be putting out a simple surplus list in the early summer. Just listing name & price, first come, first sold; no presales. There will be very limited supply and sale time. To get a list, send $2.00 to Bay View Gardens; 1201 Bay St.; Santa Cruz, CA 95060.

Joe: First I would like to say that you have a beautiful group of 2020 intros.
Second: I really appreciate that you will still offer this year, some of your previous years intros. I missed the deadline last year because we went out of the country and I could just have kicked myself. I will get that mail out to you!!

Unfortunately this heat has put a crimp into everything. We have temps in the 100+ for the last few days and more coming. I had planned to get all re-reselect replant done about now, but hardly half way there and haven't done anything in the heat (just dries up stuff quickly). Then I have to early Sept. sack up stock to send to Schreiner's. What I haven't been able to find is the big onion sacks to put them in. They then go on a pallet, shrink wrapped and freight co. picks them up. Whole different operation. I'm doing it all myself and it is slow. With the virus thing, I gave up the idea of doing the annual One Hour Sale. I am sure I can't do a list this year. Leg weakness & balance issues doesn't help either. Sorry but such is the wonders of the tarnished golden years.

Take it easy, Joe. It's too hot to do much, particularly if you're
doing it all yourself ! Hope you can get some help. Crossing Fingers!

We're getting some thunder and lightning starting up now.
...and RAIN!
