I'm not sure this plant is Echeveria lilacina. The inflorescence is not a match... it seems closer to E. runyonii, but might not be a match for that plant either.

Take a look at the flowers here:

and you can see a variety of differences with the inflorescence in this photo. The bracts in your picture are bigger, the sepals are bigger and more detached, the flowers are not as round, and they don't have that characteristic urn shape.

Echeveria lilacina is very frequently misidentified, and among the plants it's confused with is E. runyonii, which I mentioned before. But I don't think that's a match either, if you compare to these flowers for example:

So I would like to propose moving this image to the genus entry for Echeveria, unless you have some further information or insight about what species or cultivar it might be.

Please let me know if you have any other info.

Thank You!

Hello Baja,

I have checked a couple of Australian succulent websites and I agree that my echeveria is not lilacina. I will arrange to have the image removed. Thankyou for taking the time to contact me.

Now I wonder if the other echeveria I purchased with it is correctly named. What do you think?

This is what it look likes today. It is more blue than in the first photo I posted

Can I talk you into leaving the picture at the top of this thread in the database, just moving it to the genus listing for Echeveria? I can take care of the move for you. I think it is helpful.

As for "Blue Curls"... this is a website that I trust for purposes of identification

http://www.crassulaceae.ch/de/...

and the thing that strikes me (beyond the color of the leaves, which might be explained by lower light) is that the flowers in your pictures do not have orange interiors. Take a look and see what you think. There are quite a few hybrids of shaviana and gibbiflora (the parents usually responsible for ruffled leaves) and not all of them are easy for me to resolve, so I couldn't say what in particular your plant might be.

Those pictures could also be moved to the genus listing for Echeveria (which I can make happen) if you agree.

Thankyou for the link to the ICN website. Smiling
I am happy for you to move any of my images to the echeveria genus listing. Thanks Smiling

I just checked my images of Paul Bunyan against the ICN website and they look wrong too.

Do you think someone in the forums could identify it? If so, I will start a thread.
