Pretty Petchoas

There's a new annual on the spring planting scene that's giving petunias and calibrachoas a run for their money. Meet the petchoa. The name looks and sounds strange, but it's merely the combination of the first part of "petunia" and the last part of "calibrachoa." The plant itself is a cross of the two.

2nd winter on this pepper plant, and it still has a pepper on it just starting to ripen. Indoors now.

Also had a petchoa in hanging pot last summer. A delightful plant with vibrant color. Set in down next to the pepper in a S window for a "wonder what it will do" Still blooming OK, I'm crazy but it's fun.
