I'm in need of some suggestions for a fern substitute for a mostly sunny area in Pomona CA(zone 9). The Woodwardias are not doing well and are leaving a big hole in the landscape. Any ideas are greatly appreciated, I'll keep straining my brain hoping for inspiration.
