It's windy enough to be one. Been blowing hard since about 2 or 3 this morning...heard the sound of wood creaking under stress and fully expected to see a tree or branches down when I got up. So far so good but lost power a little over an hour ago. No rain yet, but know it's headed this a way. Very proud of Dixie...she is calm and collected although wasn't interested in eating breakfast. And the snakes are on the move early...saw Blackie on the patio this morning.
Yea!!! Power just came back. Hope it lasts 🤞🤞

I'm waiting with bated breath. Not sure if it will bring rain or not. I don't trust the weather predictors, so don't know what to expect. I'm on Daytona's barrier island and we usually don't get much from squall lines. This one looks to be somewhat different. Guess just wait and see.

Hope everyone else is safe!!

Well, one big clap of thunder, 3 minutes of hard rain and steady wind at about 15-20 mph. I woke up to the thunder and drifted back to sleep 5 minutes later. Yawn!!!

The forecasters were so specific about what time it would hit and where that I checked the clock and actually they were right this time. LOL There was only one long rumble of thunder and the wind seemed strong, maybe 40 mph gusts and the rain was blowing horizontally, but there is no damage other than one lightweight lawn chair that was tossed into a garden bed. In exactly 20 minutes it was over and done with. I think those of us close to the east coast were fortunate.

No thunder here but when the rain hit it was a gully wash for awhile. Today is beautiful...a tad chilly but sunny and calm. Need to walk the fence line to see if anything came down and landed on the hot wire.

I do applaud the forecasters this time, they were very accurate at the time the line hit us. We did have lightning and thunder here, but wasn't anymore than a regular summer storm. Lots of smaller branches came down, but they needed to, been up there since the hurricane. Two broken flower pots and one broken Tillandsia flower stalk. that really bothered me because I should have brought that plant in....my bad. Sighing!

Well here we go again. From what the weather guessers are saying it's gonna be another big bad blow. Wind as been kicking for awhile already. Worst will be tonight but the wind will be bad all day. Been trying to secure things...not an easy task. 🤞🤞🤞it won't be as bad as predicted

Stay safe Ginger, looks like Mississippi and Louisiana got tornados, mand lost lives. It is cloudy warm and very windy, heard the wind chimes all night long. Rain probably won't be here until late tomorrow through the end of the week.

For me it wasn't as bad as back in Feb rain wise but the wind was kicking all day and night. Haven't walked around outside yet...patio is littered with leaves and small branches. Odd though..Dixie was antsy..can't help but wonder what spooked her this time.
