I planted a cutting this summer. It grew nicely but once brought indoors for the winter it dropped all leaves. Wasn't concerned until the tip started turning black and is speeding up?!!!! Should I cut the top off to prevent spreading ? It should be warm enough to put outdoors now. HELP

Cut it off at least 2" below rot. It will branch. Be patient.
