Wingstem Verbesina alternifolia

A native found on moist wooded slopes and open woodlands. Wingstem likes well-drained soils in full sun to part shade and is best in a native plant garden, wildflower meadow or cottage garden.

A very nice warm color which accentuates the banner logo as Fleur has noted. Thumbs up

Moggs,
thanks for introducing us to this very interesting & pretty plant!

Would still like to see your whole image of the plant & surroundings. Smiling

I don't know if it will grow well here, but always worth a try.
We have forsythia from my wife's home in Connecticut, and it's doing well after 15 yrs.

Wingstem grows tall, up to 10' (!), so we should be able to find a spot in our garden for it. Thumbs up

Ordered instead from Everwilde Farms Inc on Amazon

400 seeds for $2.50 + $2.00 shipping.

I will happily share 20 seeds with anyone who sends me a treemail with their address. Smiling
