A new member asked me how to create the list of plants on one's profile, and I could not remember, even though I did it some years ago.

Any suggestions? Thinking

Thank you!

They can call the plant up in the plant database and choose "Add this plant to your list" link. That is one way to do it and I think easiest.

I'm not certain whether it will show before you've started your plant list but once you have, when you open your profile you will see a link to go to your plant list. From then on, it's pretty intuitive, with a button for adding plants to your plant list, etc. There are dropdown menus, so pay attention to the choices they give.

Yes, I agree that it is easy to add a plant. I just didn't remember how to create your plant list.

The database will alphabetize it for you. When I receive an order, or sometime when I've just ordered it, I do what has been suggested - I pull up the photo and info of the named cultivar and click on the "Add the iris to your list?" - and voila'! It will appear in my list.

That is, after you have created a list. I meant how does one start a list?

You can't add it until you have a list.

Or can you?

At the top in the bar with the Home page icon there is a drop down section called Tools&Apps. Click on Plant Lists. It will give you all the lists and also a "View and Manage your list" button. I am pretty certain you could create a list from there.

Under managing your list you can also set up categories for different plants (such as TB, SDB, Peonies, etc.). Then when you add a plant to your list it will have boxes so you can mark which type of plant it is. Example: Frosty Moonscape. Choose Add to my list. That opens up the Have, Want, Used To Have screen. After I hit "Have" I also check the TB box. This is useful if you want to search only part of your plant list.
