Wow! Thanks for posting this, Glenn. My husband just found out he can access and use some 3D printers. He was thinking about what he could make, so I will show him these planters. I'm not a real orchid nut, but it looks like it would be a good planter. What do you experts think?

If you really want to try them out, grow divisions or seedlings from the same grex in one of these and a more traditional pot. Grow them side by side and after 6-12 months, see if there is a significant difference.
If nothing else, it may give an orchid grower another means to grow plants.

Great idea, Bill! Looks good, but I can see down sides too. Pretty, but I would hate to have to cut it when the plant outgrows it.

Glenn, that looks very interesting! Thumbs up

I have been picking up cheap, similar baskets from a local store which claims to be Danish, but selling all sorts of really interesting, super cheap stuff made in China. Flying Tiger Copenhagen. Some of their stuff could be printed. Next repotting I will test some of them. ( Last Summer I let my two younger Grandchildren loose with 20 bucks in that store, they had a ball and had to do a lot of math! Smiling )
