@RuuddeBlock
Hi Ruud, I just found this photo. Not sure if it was accidentally added into the wrong semp entry?

Although this was what the nameplate said, I think you are right, this is what not L. and O.L should be about. Actually looking at the L. and O.L. pics most are not right. I think that the typical L. and O.L. are the ones you (well, some of them, not all), Stilldew and Turine placed could be the real ones. I strongly doubt any one with the red centres is correct, neither are the harsh green ones.
Unfortunately the collection I took this picture from does no longer exist... It was an old collection with many rare forms but lacked care and maintenance. Therefore I cannot be sure of all names. Some were simply replaced by the neighbour, and many were overgrown with weeds. The garden however got 'modernized', or in plain English: completely ruined, collections (also Iris, Dahlia and Rhododendrons to name a few) lost "to attrack more people" Crying Grumbling

back to the subject: I have no other name for you, so just delete it,

Ruud, that is always so sad when we lose such treasures, and many of the public gardens are.
I went back and checked to other photos, actually all of them are correct. I know that is hard to believe because of such a wide variance in coloring. For L and OL the color swings are huge, depending on season and growing conditions. I actrually had mine verified by the breeder. He visits my garden quite often. My favorite time for color is in the spring and early summer for this cultivar. Unfortunately it is a terrible winter rotter. I kept if for years and it always ended up healing and recovering enough to make a new colony. I finally eliminated it from my collection.

It's such a beautiful photo, please don't delete it. Even though it's not the cultivar 'Lavender and Old Lace', it could be moved over to the general entry for all Semps, here: Sempervivum

Hi Lin. That is what I planned on doing. Just came back in from the garden. I will move it right now. It is such a wonderful fuzzy semp.
It has been moved.
