Are we limited as to how often we can change our avatar photo? I did change my picture within the past few days but this morning I've been trying to change it to another photo and it's not working.

I choose the file, open it and it shows the name of my picture; I select "Save your changes" and then I get the message "Your changes have been saved" but when I return to my profile page, the photo is not there. My avatar is now the generic, large acorn. Confused

I've tried a few times with no luck. Sad

It must be something to do with the picture. I tested by adding my last name and that worked fine but still not allowing me to add a profile photo. Sad

I've tried numerous times today but I'll try again right now.

Shrug! Still not working. I get the message "your changes have been saved" but for some reason, it's not saving the picture. I guess I'll be an acorn for awhile ... but I'll keep trying. Green Grin!

Ok, I asked my husband if it might be because the file was too large (it was 11MB) and he asked me if I'd tried a smaller picture. Green Grin! That was the issue, the file was too large. *Blush*

Aww, thank you @plantmanager Karen!

With age, has come a bit of extra weight and arthritis issues but I have no complaints except that I'm in desperate need of a haircut, manicure and pedicure; with this Coronavirus stuff going around, I'm putting those things off for awhile though and just hanging out at home with our two dogs. Smiling They keep us laughing and bring us a lot of happiness, we can't imagine life without them!

It's the same here. We are canceling things we don't absolutely need to do. I'm so happy to have had my last surgery and be able to hunker down at home and heal.

I am surprised none of us thought about file size! Sorry.

I hope your surgery recuperation goes quickly ... this is definitely a good time to isolate and hunker down at home!

My husband is scheduled for Cataract Surgery in two weeks, I keep telling him he should postpone it but he hasn't yet!

It's like having two, very active toddler children! They are always playing hard or sleeping hard! Last year, we talked about adding a third dog to the mix but the more I thought about it, I finally told hubby that at our ages, (early 70's) it's better to just stick with the two we have. The lifespan for golden retrievers is 12 to 15 years; one of ours will be 7 next month, while the other turns 4 in June. As we age, it may be more difficult to take care of the two we have so it wouldn't be right to adopt another.

@Seedfork Larry, It took me a long time to remember file sizes. I am very technically challenged but I finally remembered something I was trying to do a year or so ago and my husband mentioned that the file size was probably the issue. Green Grin!

Since I have a problem with getting off topic and I've figured out my problem with changing my avatar photo, I'm going to close this thread. Green Grin!
