what is this clematis in the Clematis forum

Hi folks. I love this photo and I'm trying to paint it. I'm a real amateur.

But I don't remember what kind of clematis it is. I planted it at least
15 years ago and, of course, I don't have a label. Anyone know what it is?

Hard to say as the blooms aren't quite open but my initial thought was the popular Clematis 'Dr. Ruppel'

but really not sure, the centers look bigger. Do you have any more photos?

Yes, you're right. It's Josephine (I'll have to find her a Napoleon.).
It's going strong right now. Look how she's reaching out for the
sun in this picture.
