Last summer, I had a number of seedlings bloom from cross From Darkness Comes Light x Pink Stripes.
A couple of the babies were so happy-making. I'm kind of at a loss as to how to describe them accurately.
Opinions?

Soft melon base with lavender/rose stripes? In other pictures, it almost looks bi-tone because the lavender "stripes" seem to be the base color, as they take up so much of the petals.

Pink and soft melon bi-tone, with melon mid-ribs? (what color of pink do I call it? Confused )

I've seen some creative descriptions from breeders (dark parchment... that's a color...) and I'd like to be accurate and user friendly when describing these.

I love love love the first flower. I have no better suggestion on it. You could use baby pink for the second, and instead of melon you could use cantelope, or light peach. Not that either is better just my opinion and we all know what them are like.

Diana,

As a teenager, my younger son would describe it tittie pink, his favorite color.

I'm fond of the stripes! This one was impressive enough and I back bred it to Plum Striped. I have more striped babies that should bloom this spring... Hurray! Hurray!
I like the suggestion of cantaloup. Good word choice

Gerry! Tittie pink?!? Rolling on the floor laughing That's a heck of a color description.

Diana, that's a really pretty bloom, I'm also fond of the stripes. I like the soft melon. I'd call it a bi-tone with polychrome variations of melon, blush melon and blush pink with lavender stripes.
God blessed me with dirt.
