Thread OP

Hi!

I love my local florist shop and for some reason felt compelled to buy a Calathea that already seemed to be doing poorly. I bought her home, left her in the nursery pot, and trimmed off the burnt edges. She is surrounded by other plants, and is self-watered. The leave move every night, and back in the AM. They feel healthy to the touch. A leaf suddenly died (just collapsed) recently, but other than that nothing about her has changed since the day I bought her home. The cut leaves havent regenerated, no new leaves have been born. What could the issue be?

Since Spring is here, is it time to repot with new soil?

Photos of your entire plant would help. What do you mean by self watering? How damp is the soil? How close is it to a light source? How long have you had it?
