So, I saw that @Trish our wonderful admin hasn't done a new thread after her "March 30- April 4" thread, so I figured I'd pick up from there. I hope she'll tell me if she doesn't want me doing it.
So, as she said, "how are things growing where you are?"

P.S. Thanks @Trish for the wonderful original thread!

I'll chime in.
Things are going good here in Texas. The weather is calming after those roller-coaster ups and downs of March. Wildflowers are blooming, hummingbirds have returned, and the chiggers are alive and well. No complaints. Well, except for the chiggers. Hilarious!

That's great @GrammaChar! I definitely know what you mean about the chiggers though...đŸ˜¬ my kids would always try to make forts in the trees and bushes, but would always come out with chigger bites. Nasty little things lol

Yes, Kim, chiggers are silent, sneaky stalkers. Some people aren't bothered by them, but they LOVE me. I look like a dot-to-dot puzzle, and haven't yet found a lotion, spray, ointment, or cream that truly relieves the itching.

Prevention seems to work better than any cure. I don't like dousing myself with Off or Cutter - but, for me, it's a necessity if I'm going to be in the weeds. I've heard there are some sprays for yard application - however, I'd be worried about killing all the "good" little bugs with that.

Haha yes, definitely don't want to kill the worms. Or, the spiders either, because they keep out the bad bugs.
An aloe plant of mine has a guardian wolf spider. And because of it, I've never had bug issues with that plant. I always make sure to thank him (or her) lol.

That's great! The last fire we had was for Easter. We've just been kind of hanging out inside, waiting for the rain and cold to settle.
